Missed Bios 9/14
My bios were cancelled because of tropical storm nicholas. I already posted twice on this platform and got a few people tell me that it could take 3-4 weeks before getting a new appt. I have been monitoring my mail through usps and it shows an envelope from uscis is arriving today. Could that be my new appt or a notice letting me know they will be rescheduling soon? (Btw i am posting here before the mail arrives) I need piece of mind. Anyone has had their bios reschefuled? Do you get a notice first or they reschedule bios immediately? TIA

you new appointment should be 10/14 ish. the same thing happened to me on Feb Austin had a snow storm and my appointment was canceled automatically and rescheduled automatically and my response new appointment time was sent out to my mail 2 weeks after the cancellation. You will be fine. After bio appointment I recevied the work travel combo case in 56 days and in person interview was scheduled on July which was about 70 something after bio and our interview was so smooth that only took 5 minutes. We approved on the spot

I totally understand you because I been at your position. I was thinking if I got my bio appointment sooner than I would get my GC sooner. However, I felt that if I did my bio appointment sooner then the officer who interviewed me and my husband would be a different person which may make the whole case different. Because our office was so nice and didn’t even wearing the mask and asked a few questions on the application forms to confirmed we filled out the application on our own and approved the application on the spot for 5 mins. Now I look back I feel that things happen for a reason. A small change may help you turn the things around to the you wanted. In your case, most likely the interview is going to be scheduled during Thanksgiving/Christmas/New year, and what kind of office will reject the application to mess up someone’s life. The chances you get approved will extremely high. They work for the USCIS but they are humans too.
