maintain my status
I applied for I485 and I130 marriage base ( from green card holder ) i am F1 student still going to school I reserved my EAD card so am waiting for interview so should I keep my status or should I quit going to school

you can quit the school. once I-485 is pending adjudication you are not required to maintain status. what’s your timeline Tom D, if you don’t mind sharing?

If you have no good reason to quit school, don't quit. I actually think you might be required to maintain status since you're married to a GC holder, not very sure. But either way stay in school as long as you can. And good luck with your process.

don’t quit school unless you have no choice .. you are not required to continue school after submitting your i-485 but if you abandon school you are no longer in F1 .. if anything crazy happens to your I-485 case that requires you to refile or do anything like that, you would be in trouble cos you can’t cross over back to F1 status … so if you don’t have to, don’t .. keep your F1 status

it’s up to you to quite school, I485 gives you legal status during this process but if you get denied you’ll be under non status! since your husband is a green card holder I don’t this they forgive illegal presence in case you had it!
