i am struggling with renewing my dl in Florida, which state are you in?

dmv get your driver license right away? they need my SSN but i dont amhave any and still wait for their decision on my application of ssn. so frustrating

I’m in Minnesota. You don’t need a ssn to get a license here. there’s a part on the form that you can check if you don’t have one. I got my temporary license printed on papers right away. it was valid till November. they sent me an approval letter when USCIS approved my EAD. the dmv people can see what’s going on with your case

can you go to the ssn office and request one? they should be able to give you one that says valid with employment authorization only.

so you have your temp driver license first then uscis approve your EAD then social security office issue you SSN?

the law has changed here in Florida that I must have SSN or letter of ineligibility for SSN to show DMW, but i 765 have not approved yet so probably I will receive a letter of ineligibility

how long does it take when you renew your driver license with all pending forms from USCIS?

how did you get a license without a ssn? did you move from another states? Go to the ssn office and tell them you’re applying for a dl renewal but they won’t approve without a ssn. take all your immigration documents and pending cases. What’s your status now?

they should give you a restricted ssn
