I’m Feb too. where did you hear about these January cases being approved? I’ve only seen Nov and December 2020

I did not say “cases” plural; this is a friend of a friend (also from NYC) who got their case approved. Date submitted was January 6th.

they asked for more evidences not a specific thing

Will also say that they have a really strong case as they share a business (that my friend works for) and have two kids. I’m sure the officer approved without batting an eye

I have a question, I am pending i751 from NJ(EAC filer) if I would start to work in different state such as California but remotely working , Should I change my residency from NJ to CA for i751 case?

mine is September 2020 it took me one year to get biometric so after the biometric my case status changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview no RFE is it possible they can ask for rfe ?

At this point, anything is possible. From reading all those replies, I don't see any pattern in how they process those cases of I-751 from Vermont. They seem to be extremely slow at it. They are open 8 hours x 5 days weekly. Let's say 7 hours after the lunch break, a little laugh in between with peers, phone calls from now and there. Before you know it time flies and did not even go through one case for the entire day. It's not them going through the hassle, there is no rush on their parts while we are here grinding our teeth lol. I encourage all of us to reach out to them when the case it's out of the processing time or just patiently waiting.

I received a I 797 Notice of Action extending my Green Card expiration date from 18 months to 24 months. Why can't they just send the card instead of enjoying keeping people in suspense like this?

@S T I received the same letter yesterday. Strange, I still have time until August 2022, so not sure why they extended it for six more months. Unless they expect for the case not to be resolved soon. My case is from December 2020, finger prints February 2021. Still waiting.

@Emily We need to pray. Mine got extended from 18 to 24 months instead of them sending it to me. But still no RFE and my Divorce process is almost over. I am so stressed about it. I am leaving my wife due to too much verbal and emotional abuse, at times she wants to get physical. I started calling the cops whenever she acts this way. I just got approved for a restraining order against her for up to 1 year as the divorce is in process because she is very unpredictable and avoiding any potential problems with her.

@Firas I got a new extension as well. my first until August 2022. They sent it to to a lot of people. Some people who received it also received their green cards after. I would not pay much attention to it. It looks like it was sent to most of us just in case.

Not “most” people got the extension. Every single open case in the country got an extension. It’s just a new law so it was an automatic document sent to everyone. It has absolutely nothing to do with your individual case
