I-485 Interview
Hi friends,
Can anyone guide me on the expected time that USCIS takes to send the interview notice after the online status changes to “Interview is scheduled “?
My online status changed to interview is scheduled and a statement there that we will send an interview notice on 9-September. I have not received interview notice so far so don’t know what all is there in the interview notice (I mean if there are any specific documents that the USCIS wants in addition to getting the documents that were mentioned while filing I-485).
Any guidance would be appreciated.

your interview will be Oct 9-13 it’s always a month from when it was scheduled

@JK congrats… it takes about 2 weeks to get in mail.
can you please share what’s your priority date is and field office/ place you live?

it may some time to receive the notice. an interview is usually scheduled in a month or two from the date of the notice. So if you don’t receive your notice in about 2.5 weeks from the date of the online status change, I would suggest contacting USCIS

ours changed the very next day to interview scheduled and letter received 3 days after

@Waiting 4Ever : PD is Sep 2020. I believe Field Office should be in New Jersey. My case was so far at NBC.

Thabms Oksana. I appreciate all the responses. I want to know if there is an RFE, medicals or any other query USCIS has. May be in another one week I may receive interview notice.

that's true. interview will be in 30 days but you will get the interview notice letter in a week. so, hang in there. if you haven't submitted medicals, this is the time to make appointment with the doctor.

thanks Ravi. I submitted my medicals through inter filing in second week of August. I am not sure if they will need a fresh copy of I-693 in case they have not received it. My doctor has promised me to provide another sealed copy if needed.
