thanks everyone. so, my case was out of processing time. in the USCIS processing time page if it exceeds the limit you will have a link to submit inquiry.
submitted inquiry on Nov 14th and received a response yesterday night Dec 7th. approved today(Dec 8th)
if you don’t get an answer - try calling them. I have heard that works too but didn’t do that. you can also email the local congressman if your processing times exceeds the date mentioned in USCIS page

@ermira - not there yet. case got approved just yesterday. will let you know once I get notice/card. EAD took 5 days. so hoping it will be similar

@ermira - EAD was 5 days. For GC, first you get approval notice and then card will be produced and shipped and it takes a little longer than EAD
