Actually, it is easy for them to give number days, they don’t know how 60 days would impact people who can not do anything! I feel that USCIS is always lie to us. when it is under review, it should have decision soon! It should not review case even 3hours. It is really not efficient and ethical. They just want to secure the jobs, and they don’t need to work hard

I think nurse can get EAD faster because it is important job for helping patients. Right now, I feel like that processing backlog would be worse until couple years.

Its been almost 3 years. i have my RN license and just staying home and taking care of baby… Even tried to change visa status for further study but nothing is working… worst feeling…

I feel you guys. Biden and USA right now is now in the good shape in different area. I don’t think immigration would be their priority. Even though they have reform bill, it just try to take more money from immigrants. If they can not address the current backlog. It would get worse and worse year by year

@diya @jimmy I’m a nurse too and I’ve been waiting for permit and advance parole since Nov 20, 2020. I tried expediting and was denied! I just reached out to my congressman a couple weeks ago and hopefully will hear back soon. Hoping we will all get our papers soon 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 sending you love and support ❤️

perla, do you have any idea about visa screening? is that mandatory for nurses?

@diya, I was advised to do the visa screen/CGFNS certificate just in case they ask for it. my understanding is that they dont always ask for it. I still did it because my employer reimbursed me for it. it’s kind of expensive but in case they need it when they are reviewing your GC application, you will have it ready. It takes time for CGFNS to finish your certificate since they have to review your education and birth certificate and other things…

perla, i took ielts test for 3 times but was not able to score 7 in speaking. so im worried about it.
