EAD Expedite Request (Marriage Based AOS)
Good morning everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me clear my concerns. I filled for Expedite Request for my EAD on September 14th and my status changed to Expedite Request Received but nothing has changed since. I filled in March 16th 2021 (NBC) and I am seeing a lot of people get approved without expedite with my same receipt date. My question is: Will the expedite request affect me getting approved based on the dates USCIS is now reviewing? Or does the expedite have nothing to do with normal processing of cases? Thank you in advance :)

it usually triggers the next step depending on where you are in the process. at least from what I’ve seen from other people cases and mine as well. I was waiting for my bio for 6 months I applied for an Expdite and got updated for my bio 5 days later.

sometimes expedites don't do anything

Thank you for your comments, I already have my biometrics done and everything I am only waiting for the EAD. But now I am worried the expedite might slow down the normal process.

worse case scenario is nothing is gonna happen… other than that it won’t slow anything

@ M R, awesome I am just worried now that the expedite will make the normal process slower but I am glad to hear it most probably wont.
