Case transfer from one field office to another
My case was received my NBC when I first filed my i-485 and i-765. After my EAD was approved, my i485 was transferred to Phoenix field office(non-local field office). My application was there for 8 months and didn’t receive and update/RFE from there and now it has been transferred to HOUSTON field office last week(currently non-local). I used to live in Houston and it was my address when I first filed my applications but now I don't live there anymore but still the case has been transferred there. Do you think there is any reason behind it? My case status shows my file is still in NBC but when I chat with live agent through emma, they provided me with the update about the latest transfer. Any idea why it happens and has anyone gone through similar situations?

my case transferred from TSC to 2 different non local office and now it is in the local office. Did you update your address?

Damn your case sounds exactly like mine lol . mine was at Phoenix non local , for 10months . two weeks ago transferred to local office . I got interview scheduled for 11/30.

@Sujan N yes, it happens with my case. I live in a State and got interviewed in another State . I did update my new address but some how it’s not on the system. You should chat with Emma again and ask them about address already updated to your file.
