I was worried about this too, I filed my adjustment of status along with the I-765 back in July and saw that the wait time for the work authorization was 28.5-37months... so I called the USCIS and the lady told me that those are just estimates and will likely go down (they get updated at the start of every month).. I also went ahead and put in an expedite request since I got offered 2 jobs that I can’t take because I don’t have a work authorization yet... (you have to call and ask for one they usually won’t offer it, you’ll need to ask) she told me that my work authorization will probably get processed within 7 months of the date it was filed...but if my expedite request gets approved it’ll likely be within 3 months. good luck with your adjustment of status, we’ll all get thru this.

I filed in May (also NBC) and I haven’t received a biometrics appointment yet! it’s been more than 4 months now.

The USCIS website estimate has gone down from 28.5-37 months down to 5.5-7 months for NBC. Phew!
