which is my medical
John SmithOct 6, 2021
@Deds: yeah I heard the same thing. Did you recieve a RFE or a âreminderâ? I received the latter (and so many others who filed with Nebraska I think)
deds sbOct 6, 2021
I havenât received on the mail yet but the update says RFE not reminder. I have been doing a lot of things to get some attention to my case I canât say that it has worked yet but happy that something is happening.
John SmithOct 6, 2021
Deds, thatâs great - usually RFE is a good sign youâre getting close! Can you share some tips of things that can potentially help get more attention? and, you did submit the I-485 on march 12th 21, correct?
deds sbOct 6, 2021
On March 12th, 2021 they received my I-485 along with combo card applications. oh and I submitted my i140 which has been approved forever because it was premium processing. I will share what I did but like I said I donât have proof it has been what is somewhat moving my case a long because I feel like I have been waiting forever considering I have been out of work for over 3 months now. I tried expediting 4 times. the first time it was through a senator and they denied by email. my case never got updated that my expedite was denied then. the second and third time I tried doing it by myself and got updated denying it. they never even requested rfe for my expedite just denied it. my reasons for expedite were several and I had proof for all of them. later I read somewhere that if you have premium processing on your case you donât qualify for expedite but they never said that to me directly so I submitted a 4th expedite. this time I sent an email to a house representative. so instead of submitting the request through Congress person I submitted it myself but I also messaged them to ask for help. I never got a reply from the house representative directly but this time I got an email from uscis saying they were denying my expedite. once again I had only received an email previously with the senator which is what makes me think that maybe that house representative reached out to them. well, this time I replied to uscis email. I wonât lie, it was very passive aggressive. I explained to them that never asked for evidence and questioned them about the denials using my reasons. it was a long passive aggressive letter. now to the key of what I think might have helped me the most. once again not sure but I am believing in it. I forwarded that email to the uscis headquarters. I saw somewhere that someone did that and got their EAD approved and I am sitting at home with nothing to do so I am gonna try whatever has worked for other people lol I forwarded the email on Thursday and on Monday I got an update that 22 hours ago rfe was sent so it was most likely done Friday or Saturday. I never got a reply from house representative, uscis, or uscis headquarters and thatâs why I am not sure any of this helped but it would be a huge coincidence. the bottom line is I have been very persistent. because I am a nurse who has been sitting at home for over 3 months now during a healthcare crisis and a pandemic. sorry this is long but I promise I summed it up lol
